Meeting Design Secrets: A Sneak Peek into MPI’s Exclusive Educational Session
Last night, AV Concepts hosted an intimate Meeting Professionals International (MPI) event at our San Diego Creative Space – a 20,000-sf industrial venue featuring the world’s largest holographic theatre, several themed event areas, five-star kitchen amenities, and unique audio-visual installations – where Southern California members came together to discuss meeting design secrets that would help them transform their events into spectacular experiences for attendees.
The focus of the night was on Design Thinking, an event planning technique where meetings are designed around the end user experience, and how you want them to interact with your brand. MPI was able to creatively use our space to set-up their event to exemplify this design thinking principal, hosting 3 different simultaneous sessions throughout the building that attendees rotated between.
AV Concepts hosted a session on 2016 Event Tech Trends, sharing the technology secrets behind immersive live event experiences attendees will never forget. Cadence Travel presented on the importance of Inside-Out thinking, and how to provide meaningful, customized event experiences. And Stone Brewing and the LakeHouse Hotel & Resort teamed up to talk about playing to the senses with creative food pairings.
Attendees buzzed at the reception afterwards, exchanging their key takeaways from the program, including: how to re-visualize space with new technology like holographic effects, projection mapping, and wearables; new ways to engage audiences and create memorable events; and how to incorporate unique culinary experiences as part of your design.
“We were thrilled to partner with MPI on this educational event, and share our expertise on the event technology that’s pushing the live events industry forward,” explained David Deal, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at AV Concepts. “Plus, it’s always a treat to get people into the San Diego Creative Space because they’re completely blown away by the building.”
