AV Concepts is excited to announce the promotion of Hatim Sorkati to Business Development Director as he joins our growing Business Development Team.

Hatim has a large breadth of knowledge when it comes to the world of event AV. After 17 years of industry experience, Hatim takes on the next chapter of his career, connecting clients to some of the most innovative AV solutions the company is currently producing.

A UMass Amherst alumnus with a degree in Computer Systems Engineering and Technology, Hatim always had a penchant for event concepting with an undeniable technological prowess. He initially started off his professional career working in IT, before falling into the world of AV as a lead video technician. And it was at that very moment he discovered his passion for the events industry, and saw the power of what technology could do to bring life to an event’s experience.

“I first found my love for this business engineering racks to create a particular visual style for an event. And it was then that I saw with my eyes the power of what we were creating to elevate that show.”

And the rest is history. With positions in video, show supervisor, technical director and project management, Hatim brings a well-rounded skillset in helping to determine what approach our clients take to achieve the best show results. He looks forward to forming partnerships to craft experiences that will surely not be forgotten.
