AV Concepts Expands Their Video Department

AV Concepts is excited to announce the hiring of Dave Deis as Video Department Manager.

AV Concepts welcomes 30-year AV industry veteran, Dave Deis, to the team as Video Department Manager. Deis, a well renowned technician in the AV community for his expertise in the technology, takes on the next chapter of his career with AV Concepts’ continued technological innovation.

Deis is an expert in show technology, specializing in developing unique systems that create efficiency among tech teams. His education in technology engineering was acquired while serving in the Air Force. After finishing his service, Deis worked on the first-generation DLP projectors and fell in love with the ability to break things apart and make them into something better.

“We’re excited to have Dave on board at AV Concepts. His level of expertise is unmatched in the industry and I believe his experience and knowledge will benefit our customer substantially,” Says CEO Nick Smith.

Deis worked as a Field Application Engineer at Christie Digital for 15 years, where he focused on projector repairs and site surveys for installations. He moved over to VER as a Senior Level Engineer, training techs and overseeing complex Image Processing equipment such as Vista Spyder Barco Encore E2 and The Analog Way Ascender for the last 15 years.

Throughout his career, Deis has showcased incredible ability to educate others in the industry on how to implement the newest technology into large-scale events. When reflecting on the AV industry evolution he has seen in the last 30 years – he is optimistic about what’s to come with AV Concepts.

I’m at a point in my career that with the knowledge base I have – I’m able to really help educate techs and clients to be the most efficient with their time and money,” says Deis.
