Cvent’s attendance for their annual user conference more than doubled in attendance this year, going from fewer than 200 attendees in 2012 to around 2,300 this past June. While Cvent says the growth is due to a higher demand for education about technology in the events industry, it’s also credit to their meticulous planning process, which ensures that the event mirrors the company’s goals for its software platform: Providing tools to plan an authentic, educational, fun and seamless attendee journey before, during, and after an event.
For Cvent, it’s all about the attendee experience, surveying their customers regularly to determine what they’re looking for in both the platform and the event. And they used that valuable insight to power a meeting that 95 percent of this year’s CONNECT attendees said they wanted to come back for in 2016.
The stakes are incredibly high when you’re planning an event for professional meeting planners, which is why AV Concepts helped Cvent create an immersive experience that wowed presenters and attendees alike this year. In the general session room, AV Concepts displayed a 250-ft curved projection screen that garnered rave reviews from presenters, and ignited a social media frenzy from attendees who were blown away by the experience.
