Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) is the biggest electronic dance-music festival in the country.
For this year’s event, Diageo/Smirnoff and MKTG wanted to create an interactive brand experience that festival goers could share online. So, they partnered with AV Concepts to bring their creative concept to life.
AV Concepts created two custom applications to power the experience. One was an interactive dance application that utilized Microsoft’s 3D-Sensing to display LED visual effects that were triggered by participants’ dance moves. The second was a custom social media application that emailed participants a 15-second video clip of their performance that was Smirnoff branded for them to share via their social channels. The experience was a hit with EDC festival goers and garnered lots of social media buzz for Smirnoff. Check out the video below.
