
Fred Mandrick and Nick Smith had worked in the corporate audio-visual industry for many years when they realized that together, they could fill a void that existed in the industry. The pair founded AV Concepts on a few simple, yet profound principles; provide and maintain high quality equipment, establish long-term relationships with clients, employ talented people and provide them with the best training and to continually reinvest in inventory.
In 1987, Mandrick and Smith opened the first AV Concepts office and warehouse in Phoenix's east valley, and later opened a second office/warehouse facility in San Diego. After 23 years in business, the partners continue to be involved in the day-to-day operations of the company, make regular visits to show sites and personally ensure that the quality of service remains outstanding. Staying committed to the company's original goals has proven effective and has afforded the company much success.
AV Concepts was honored to be named one of Inc. 500's "Top Privately Owned Companies", and today employs nearly 100 employees, occupies more than 55,000 square feet of office and warehouse space and conducts business throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.
