AV Concepts and Kelly Osbourne turn the San Diego Hard Rock Hotel Pink for Pinktober
On September 30, AV Concepts (www.avconcepts.com) along with Kelly Osbourne transformed the exterior of the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego with high-energy visuals utilizing pink tones in honor of the Hard Rock Hotels & Casinos’ annual global Pinktober campaign. At 8pm, Kelly flipped the switch on a special pink themed projection mapping show produced by AV Concepts atop the fourth floor Woodstock Deck, to start the month-long fundraising event to raise money for Susan G. Komen for the Cure in San Diego. "Adding projected graphics is a sure-bet way to pump up an event and there is nobody better than AV Concepts. We love these guys and the awesome product they deliver" said Matt Greene, General Manager of the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego.
AV Concepts utilized their proprietary Liquid Scenic Media Server to create the intricate projection mapping of the hotel walls both quickly and cost effectively. This custom designed server maps every angle and square foot of a surface and then utilizes HD video projectors to produce a stunningly clear seamless three dimensional image to appear on surfaces such as building exteriors, interior walls, stage sets and never before used structures. Earlier this month, this advanced technology was utilized for the USS Midway to turn the multi-dimensional 175 foot island above the flight deck of this aircraft carrier into a stunning virtual canvas (www.liquidscenic.com).
