Projection Mapping at the 54th Annual Grammy’s Awards

AV Concepts set a new standard for live visual entertainment at the 54th Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles. After several conceptual discussions, AV Concepts designed a multi-level pyramidal structure with 94 individual vertical and horizontal planes which served as both the interactive prop for the artist and the canvas for the highly complex projection mapping project. 72,000 lumens of projection created the environment for Chris Brown and dancers who harmonized the dynamic visual changes as they stepped up and down the levels of the custom Tetris-like structure. AV Concepts utilized their proprietary Liquid Scenic media server using 4 of the 6 available streams of full 1920 x 1080 uncompressed HD video playback which delivered the animation of fast-moving graphics and beat-matching visual effects.
